The Open Fist Theatre Company presents an 'Early Look' at the second installment of Murray Mednick's eight-play 'Gary Plays" cycle, directed by Padua Playwrights Artistic Director Guy Zimmerman. Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists, will be jamming as they welcome legendary reggae supergroup, The Wailers, Grammy Award-winning jazz guitarist Lee Ritenour, Latin percussionist Gerardo Velez and a host of local talent including Willie K, Natalie Ai Kamauu, Melveen Leed and Shari Lynn. The month kicks off with local music icons Henry Kapono, Brother Noland and John Cruz together as the Rough Riders. Blue Note Hawaii also continues Gospel Brunch every Sunday with a 1:00 p.m. showtime, with doors opening at 11:00 a.m. 

Rehearsals are underway for Tarragon Theatre's world premiere of The Summoned by celebrated Canadian actor and screenwriter Fabrizio Filippo, now making his Tarragon playwriting debut with this twisted technological thriller that  takes audiences on a whirlwind ride from the past and into the future of the digital age. Directed by Tarragon's Artistic Director Richard Rose, The Summoned previews from April 20, opens April 27 and runs to May 29 in Tarragon's Mainspace.

Like greased lightning! CTV's very big January concluded last night with 1.7 million viewers for GREASE: LIVE preliminary overnight data from Numeris reveals, making it the #1 entertainment program Sunday with total viewers and all key demos. The special peaked with 2.37 million viewers, tuning in to Sandy and Danny's dance solo during 'Born To Hand Jive'.
