US Cranberries representatives announced their first official appearance at World Food Moscow (WFM) 2013. Sixty-nine countries are represented at the exhibition and over 50,000 food specialists attend each year. WFM covers all sectors of the food industry including meat and poultry, fish and seafood; fruit and vegetables; confectionery and bakery; groceries; oils, fats and sauces; frozen products; preserves; dairy; tea and coffee; and drinks.

Wallis Annenberg Center For The Performing Arts Announces Inaugural Season

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces its Inaugural Season beginning with performances by the Martha Graham Dance Company, which open the 500-seat Goldsmith Theater on November 8 and 9, 2013, followed by the play Parfumerie by Miklos Laszlo, adapted by Edward P. Dowdall and directed by Mark Brokaw, from November 26 to December 22, 2013. The romantic tale Parfumerie inspired the films The Shop Around the Corner, In the Good Old Summertime, and Nora Ephron's You've Got Mail, as well as the Broadway musical She Loves Me. As a special program, an exhibition on perfume entitled Timeless Scents: 1370-2013, a history of iconic fragrances through the ages is being created especially for The Wallis by Chandler Burr, former New York Times scent critic.

The Bard SummerScape festival in New York's Annandale-on-Hudson presents the world premiere of an original stage adaptation of The Master and Margarita (1937) by Mikhail Bulgakov. The Master and Margarita is widely recognized as one of the greatest and most beloved Russian novels of the 20th century. SummerScape's theatrical adaptation comes courtesy of visionary Hungarian director Janos Szasz in collaboration with Gideon Lester, Director of Bard's Theater Programs. It is also Szasz, whose previous stage adaptations of Bulgakov's underground classic have already 'made it big' (Moscow Times) at both the Hungarian National and Moscow Art Theatres, who directs Bard's new production: an exploration of miracles, madness, and the magic of theater itself. The Master and Margarita will be presented in ten performances between today, July 11 and 21 in Theater Two of the Frank Gehry-designed Fisher Center, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, on Bard's glorious Hudson Valley campus.

Review - Lend Me A Tenor & The Broadway Musicals of 1937

If the Broadway revival of a few years back demonstrated the deadly results that can occur when overthinking and underplaying a quality farce, the new Paper Mill mounting is a fast a furious example of Ken Ludwig's madcap Lend Me A Tenor done right.  Director Don Stephenson doesn't throw any fancy curveballs with the material, but he and his perfectly cast company of Broadway vets nail every door slam and verbal ping-pong volley with hilarious aplomb.

In every other interpretation of Tom Wingfield that I have ever seen, Tom is always played to show tenderness and solicitude at times for his mother and sister, and a fundamental understanding of their plight, even as he chafes at their dysfunction and lashes out at them. When, at the end, he says he is haunted by his sister even in his flight, this is not just about being unable to spit a bad taste out of his mouth. Yet Matt Lee's Tom gives just that impression.
