BWW Preview: Inside A Rare Screening Of The Wars Movie At TIFF's Bell Lighthouse

On Tuesday, Nov. 18th, two weeks after Remembrance Day, Toronto's TIFF Bell Lightbox will present one of Canada's greatest ... and rarely seen anti-war movies - Robin Phillips' adaptation of Timothy Findley's The Wars, (a Canadian-West German co-production.) It won the 1978 Governor General's Prize for literature. Findley also wrote the screenplay.

Kimberly Valerio to Perform with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra in BEETHOVEN EROICA, 11/14-15

Kimberly Valerio will perform as flute soloist with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra (ASO) on November 14 and 15 in a program titled Beethoven “Eroica.” Music Director José-Luis Novo will lead the orchestra in these Lexus Classic Series concerts beginning at 8:00pm in the newly renovated auditorium of Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.

Cornish Dance Theater to Present Fall 2014 Concert, 11/21-22

Cornish Dance Theater, the performing ensemble of the Dance Department at Cornish College of the Arts, will feature choreography by Iyun Ashani Harrison, Jose Limon, Vivian Little, Michele Miller, and Amy O'Neal at its Fall 2014 Concert, which takes place at the Cornish Playhouse on Nov. 21 and 22. Many of the pieces, including one world premiere from Harrison, focus on issues relevant to the dancers and today's college students.

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra performs Scheherazade on November 14-15, 2014 at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Led by guest conductor Marcelo Lehninger, the performances feature Stravinsky's Suite No. 2 for Small Orchestra, Saint-Saëns's Piano Concerto No. 2 featuring Sean Chen, and Rimsky-Korsakov's iconic Scheherazade.
