As New York City celebrates the return of everyone's favorite Funny Girl, the worlds of Broadway, TV, cabaret and the recording industry will come together Friday, October 12 to salute the greatest star with the one-night-only concert Hello Gorgeous! A Salute to the Streisand Songbook, presented by Scott Nevins and Joe Lodato and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

REBECCA, the new musical based on the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier novel, has found its male and female leads: Jill Paice will play the role of "I" and Ryan Silverman the role of "Maxim de Winter." BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Marin Mazzie will be taking the weekend off from CARRIE duty to fulfill previously scheduled concert engagement in California. Stepping in for Mazzie in the role of Margaret White for performances on March 16 - March 18 will be Anne Tolpegin, best known for her roles in Les Miserables and A Tale of Two Cities. Mazzie will return to the production as scheduled on Tuesday, March 20.

MCC Theater has announced the complete cast for the newly reworked and fully re-imagined production of Carrie, the musical. Carrie features music by Michael Gore, lyrics by Dean Pitchford (Academy Award winning composer and lyricist for the original film Fame) and a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (who also adapted the 1974 novel by Stephen King for the 1976 Brian DePalma film). Directed by Stafford Arima, performances for Carrie begin January 31, 2012, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC). The official opening night is set for March 1, 2012.
