Theaterlab presents True Believer, a new play about identity, radicalism, and the passion of youth by Asa Merritt. Joshua Kahan Brody directs Kersti Bryan* in a solo performance with original live music by Bay Bryan. HISTORY MATTERS/BACK TO THE FUTURE, a coalition of theatre professionals, announced the winner of the 1st annual Judith Barlow Prize is Selina Fillinger, a student at Northwestern University, who wrote a one-act play inspired by Sophie Treadwell's play Machinal. Ms. Fillinger will receive $2,500, a trip to New York City and a staged reading of her play on Sunday, May 3rd at 3 pm at Helen Mills Theater, 139 West 26th Street, NYC. Award-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant will direct the reading which is free and open to the public.

Bach Choir of Bethlehem to Hold 108th Annual Bach Festival in May

This spring the lovely historic town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, will once again welcome Bach lovers from around the country to celebrate the incomparable Bach Choir of Bethlehem, one of America's oldest and most cherished musical institutions. Two weekends in May-May 1 - 2 and 8 - 9, 2015-will offer a wide range of events, including concerts, lectures and, for the first time, an imaginative re-creation in downtown Bethlehem of Leipzig's historic Zimmermann's Coffee House, the scene of many first performances of Bach's instrumental works and secular cantatas, including the celebrated Coffee Cantata.
