Musical Theatre West (MTW) presents Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice's musical masterpiece Evita at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center February 10-26.  The seven-time Tony Award-winning musical captivated audiences with Eva Peron's passionate and unforgettable true story of her meteoric rise to become Argentina's champion of the poor and most influential first lady.  Tickets are now on sale at www.musical.org, by calling (562) 856-1999, ext. 4, or at the MTW Ticket Office.  Tickets start at $20.

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) announces the world premiere production of Dr. Seuss' The Sneetches The Musical which opened on February 7, 2017. Directed by Peter C. Brosius, the production is written by Philip Dawkins, whose many works have been produced from Canada to Washington DC to Los Angeles, and upcoming at the MCC Theatre (Off-Broadway), with music by David Mallamud, whose works have been heard at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center and Off-Broadway. This new production is the third Dr. Seuss work that CTC has commissioned in a historical partnership that dates back to the first production in 1979 of Dr. Seuss's The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins. It is also the first Dr. Seuss commission since 1994 when Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas premiered at CTC before it became the Old Globe Theatre's annual holiday show and its Broadway transfer. CTC retains the exclusive rights to produce and perform both works in Minnesota.

Jeanine Mason, Rose Portillo, Daniel Valdez and Jeremy Ray Valdez will join the previously announced Demian Bichir in the cast of Center Theatre Group's production of 'Zoot Suit' at the Mark Taper Forum, which begins previews January 31, opens February 12 and continues through March 12, 2017. Written and directed by Luis Valdez, 'Zoot Suit' is presented in association with El Teatro Campesino.

Insight Theatre Co Celebrates 10th Season with Move to .ZACK

 Insight Theatre Company has more than just an anniversary to celebrate in 2017...their 10th Season kicks off as one of the .ZACK's resident arts organizations.  Their move from Webster Groves' Nerinx Hall to becoming part of the Kranzberg Arts Foundation family in the burgeoning Grand Center Theatre District is the perfect kick-off to this milestone year.  'We are so excited and thrilled to have been selected by the Kranzberg Arts Foundation as a resident company at the .ZACK," states Maggie Ryan, Insight's Artistic Director.  "As an arts incubator, the .ZACK will give us a great opportunity to collaborate with other arts organizations and continue to build and strengthen our dedication to artistic arts excellence.'

Steve Martin and Martin Short Add Second Show at Caesars Colliseum

Due to demand, Steve Martin and Martin Short have added two new 2017 dates of their hilarious show "An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest Of Your Lives featuring the Steep Canyon Rangers and Jeff Babko" at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Tickets for the two new shows scheduled Friday, Aug. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 29 will go on-sale Friday, Jan. 27 at noon PT. The performances are presented jointly by AEG Live and Caesars Entertainment.
