This week we are taking a listen to the soundtrack for the forthcoming ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW homage ala GLEE with a rundown of the second season of the hit Golden Globe-winning musical dramedy series and how it stacks up to last season. Additionally, we take a peek at one of the most famous musicals numbers from the cult classic score - 'Time Warp' featuring all of the central Glee club cast-members of the show, among them Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron and Chris Colfer. The soundtrack also contains a special appearance by John Stamos - late of Broadway's recent BYE BYE BIRDIE, and the other Roundabout revivals of NINE and CABARET - who sings the song made famous by a then unknown Meat Loaf in 1975 who will be making an appearance himself on the episode when it airs October 26th on Fox. The Museum of Modern Art launches Mapping Subjectivity: Experimentation in Arab Cinema, 1960s-Now, a three-year program of annual screenings of groundbreaking films and videos, celebrated masterworks, and modern cinema from Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Morocco, Syria and more, beginning this fall. This in-depth initiative aims to map the largely unknown heritage of personal, artistic, and innovative cinema from the Arab world. In the 1960s, galvanized by a broader global vanguard of countercultural experimentation in the arts, filmmakers in these countries began to craft a language and form that broke away from established conventions and commercial considerations, ultimately clearing the ground for boldly subjective cinematic expressions. The Museum will screen each annual exhibition the Roy and Niuta Titus Theaters and selections of the program will travel to the Abu Dhabi Film Festival and Tate Modern in London, and subsequently touring throughout the Middle East and internationally. Mapping Subjectivity is a collaboration between The Museum of Modern Art and ArteEast, and is organized by Jytte Jensen, Curator, Department of Film, The Museum of Modern Art, and Rasha Salti, Curator and Artistic Director, ArteEast.

It's sad, but many times when the topic of Peter Schaffer's Tony Award Winning play Equus enters the conversation at cocktail parties, someone invariably remarks, 'Isn't that the show about the naked English kid and the horses?' Well, on the surface, that's true, but the play is so rich in ideas and subtexts that it would take a blue ribbon panel to discuss the play and its content-to say nothing about its interpretations.

Los Angeles' Reprise Theatre Company today announced it's 2010-2011 season, which features three classic American musicals at UCLA's Freud Playhouse: 'They're Playing Our Song' (September 28 to October 10, 2010), with music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager and book by Neil Simon, and starring Jason Alexander, the company's Artistic Director; Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's 'Gigi' (February 15 to 27, 2011); and Cole Porter's 'Kiss Me, Kate' (May 10 to 22, 2011), with book by Samuel and Bella Spewack.

BIO Channel recorded its two most-watched quarters in network history in fourth quarter 2009 and first quarter 2010. The network also, for the first-time ever, hit the 100,000 mark in the target adults 25-54 demo in first quarter 2010. On the heels of this success, BIO continues to increase its investment in original programming with the addition of three new series - including a second series from Emmy winner William Shatner - and four news specials to join its slate of five returning original series and 50 new hours of the Emmy-award winning 'Biography' series in 2010, it was announced today by Bob DeBitetto, President and General Manager of A&E Network and BIO Channel.
