Amas Musical Theatre will present two exciting one-night-only special events as part of Dare to Be Different, the previously announced series of new musicals and one-night only special events being held at A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street 10th Avenue & 53rd Street).

Five choreographers, Artis Smith, Germaine Salsberg, Kevin Predmore, Traci Stanfield and Nicole Ohr, will collaborate with current and graduated Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music composers for a program of new contemporary, modern, and tap dances, performed by 25+ dancers, each dance set to an original composition by a different composer - Yuriy Lehki, Daniel Rote, Jacob Szilagi, and Sean Vigneau-Britt. The program will also feature repertory from Smith and Salsberg ('Full Moon Waxing' and 'Down the Rabbit Hole'). The two 2 performances, Saturday December 2nd at the Brooklyn Music School, is a presentation of Artis Smith and Germaine Salsberg, artistic directors, and The Department of Kinesiology and Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College.

DAMES AT SEA is a welcome escape from the upheaval of the moment, if only for a couple of hours. The McCallum Theatre presents Bernadette Peters, with Musical Director Marvin Laird, on Saturday, February 4, at 8:00pm. Tony Award-winning actress Bernadette Peters dazzles audiences and critics with her performances on stage and television, in concert and in movies, and on recordings. Bernadette currently stars in Amazon Prime's Golden Globe nominated series, "Mozart in the Jungle." Recent stage credits include City Center's Encores! Production A Bed A Chair: A New York Love Affair. Prior to that, she starred on Broadway in the Stephen Sondheim/James Goldman production of Follies, following a successful run at the Kennedy Center. She also starred opposite Elaine Stritch in A Little Night Music.

Robert (Bob) Dahdah, a prolific writer and director who was a major contributor to the creation of Off-Off Broadway theater in the 1960s and continued writing and directing for over fifty years, died on February 6th at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, where he was under hospice care. He was 89.

The first ever Broadway production of DAMES AT SEA will play its 100th performance on Broadway on Saturday, December 19th at 8pm.  In celebration of the critically acclaimed musical comedy set in 1933, tickets for the Saturday, December 19th 8pm performance will be $19.33.  You can purchase the specially priced $19.33 tickets only at the Helen Hayes Theatre box office on Saturday, December 19th from 10am till 8pm for that evening's performance.  Customers may purchase up to 8 tickets per person and should reference the code Dames 1933 or 100th Performance.

The first ever Broadway production of DAMES AT SEA will receive the honor of being filmed for the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive for the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. The filming will take place during the Tuesday, December 15 performance.
