ARTIS SMITH, trained at the National Ballet School of Canada, was a founding member of the Toronto Dance Theatre in 1968, touring throughout the U.S., Canada, and internationally with the group. Smith later danced with the Martha Graham Dance Company, Pearl Lang, London Contemporary Dance Company, Peter Sparling, Anthony Morgan, and many other independent choreographers. With his wife, Germaine Salsberg, a fellow dancer with Toronto Dance Theatre, he formed A&G Dance, creating some fifty works for that company, as well as commissions for various other groups and solo artists. Artis taught at the Ailey School from 1976-81, and is currently Assistant Professor of Dance at Brooklyn College since 1985.

KEVIN PREDMORE has appeared as a principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company, Buglisi Dance Theatre, Pearl Lang Dance Theater, and other contemporary dance companies. As a choreographer his work was presented as part of the Martha Graham Choreographer's Project, and has been commissioned by the Singapore Dance Ensemble to teach, choreograph and perform. Kevin is on the faculties of the Graham School and the Ailey School.
