Wings - 1993 - Off-Broadway History , Info & More

Joseph Papp Public Theater [Newman Theater]
425 Lafayette Street New York, NY 10003

Based on the play by Arthur Kopit

Emily was an aviatrix who fearlessly walked on the wings of the family biplane. Just as she once plummeted dizzyingly through space, she is now falling through inner space as the result of a stroke. This extraordinary musical takes us inside Emily’s mind as she finds the light at the end of the tunnel in the cave of her memory. With breathtaking simplicity, WINGS charts her recovery as she regains her spirit to achieve new heights. Starring Ann Crumb. Directed by Jesse Cline.

Lili has also invited creations to be made for the Shanghai Ballet. Currently, the Artistic Director of the Shanghai Ballet and it's eighty dancers is Derek Deane with his team.
