It's a peaceful time for a quiet Kansas town in the early 1950s and summer is drawing to a close with the excitement of the annual Labor Day picnic. But the sudden arrival of Hal Carter, a handsome young drifter, stirs the emotions of a group of neighbors as he develops an instant attraction with Madge, one of the most beautiful girls in town. 'Queen of All Media' Perez Hilton has let slip on his twitter that sources have revealed to him the news that Nolan Gerard Funk, the star of the Nickelodeon movie 'Spectacular!' has won a role in Roundabout's upcoming production of 'Bye Bye Birdie'. The next question is, has he been cast as Hugo Peabody or Conrad Birdie? As a budding teen idol, he could essay both characters will relative ease. There has been no official casting confirmations regarding those roles as of yet.

Directed & choreographed by Robert Longbottom, Bye Bye Birdie has a book by Michael Stewart, lyrics by Lee Adams and music by Charles Strouse. Roundabout is proud to welcome back three artists who have previously worked at the theatrical institution: John Stamos, Gina Gershon and Bill Irwin.
