The Jeff Awards have announced 105 nominations in 24 categories for Non-Equity Jeff Awards, which honor excellence in Chicago theatres not under a union contract, for productions that opened between April 1, 2009, and March 31, 2010. The Jeff Awards judged the opening nights of 116 productions offered by 55 non-Equity producing organizations and recommended 51 shows for further judging, making those 51 eligible for Non-Equity Jeff Award nominations in all categories.

Little House On The Prairie, The Musical, a new musical based on the beloved Laura Ingalls Wilder series of classic American books, will arrive on April 28, 2010 at the Hobby Center for Performing Arts presented by Theatre Under The Stars.
The 2010 Tommy Tune Awards have been announced! To a crowd of over 2,000, Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) President and CEO, John C. Breckenridge, declared the winners of TUTS' eighth annual Tommy Tune Awards on the evening of Tuesday, April 20, at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts.
The Orange County Performing Arts Center's Free or All series continues this summer with the enormously popular and eagerly awaited return of free Movie Mondays on the community plaza. This year's line-up will be the biggest and best ever with five great movies: the timeless classic The Wizard of Oz with Judy Garland; the screwball comedy Some Like it Hot starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon; the Dickensian musical Oliver! being presented in partnership with public radio station KCRW-Santa Monica (89.9 FM and www.KCRW.com); the coming-of-age story Dirty Dancing featuring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze; and the inspiring documentary about New York City school students learning to dance in Mad Hot Ballroom, which was chosen in an audience poll last summer.
