Smuin Contemporary Ballet has announced its first-ever Early Bird Summer Intensive for pre-professional dancers. This four-day program, open to dancers aged 14-22, allows students to dive deeper into their artistry, learning directly from Smuin’s company artists.

The American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School will appear at NYU Skirball in New York City for two performances, Thursday, May 19 at 7:30 P.M. and Saturday, May 21 at 1:30 P.M.

Gibney Company has announced its summer 2022 season in New York City with a program of three world premieres by internationally recognized choreographers Rena Butler, Gustavo Ramírez Sansano, and Yin Yue at New York Live Arts, June 14 through 18.

A cornucopia of dance talent will be on stage at the Gracie Theatre on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 6 p.m. when members of Husson University's Dance Club and Dance Team share their talents as part of 'A Night to Remember.' The event is free and open to the public. Voluntary donations are welcome and help the club pay for costumes and shoes.

Ballet Kelowna presents the world premiere of the Company’s first-ever commissioned, full-length ballet, Macbeth, at the Kelowna Community Theatre on May 6 + 7, 2022 at 7:30pm. Originally scheduled to premiere in May 2020, and postponed due to the pandemic, the visceral production features choreography from Canadian choreographic star Alysa Pires, an original score by Dora Award-winning music director, composer, and lyricist Adam Sakiyama, and atmospheric multimedia visuals from Okanagan landscape artist Jane Everett.

Fast Forward provides the opportunity for award-winning and cutting-edge choreographers, both local and from around the country, to experiment. Choreographers Amy Seiwert, Duncan Cooper, Marika Brussel, Mariana Sobral and Dalia Rawson are creating brand new works that push the boundaries of classical ballet. Set to music ranging from classical to singer-songwriters performing live, this program will treat audiences to a fast-paced evening of new contemporary ballet, often described by the dancers as their favorite program of the season.

Tim Neufeld, Colin Trask (dobro/percussionist), and Brenton Thorvaldson (banjo/guitar) are born entertainers who call their anthems 'bluegrass-meets-gospel-meets-Canadiana'. The band is currently putting the finishing touches on their new full-length album which will be released by Sony Music Entertainment Canada, their debut album for the label.

The program features the technically brilliant, classical work Within the Golden Raga, choreographed by Kunal Ranchod; the contemporary work, infused with sultry Argentine tango, Cuatro Estaciones, choreographed by Ballet Kelowna’s own Artistic Director and CEO Simone Orlando; and the uplifting and joyful MAMBO, choreographed by Alysa Pires. 

The company hasn't visited The Kennedy Center for more than a decade. It's great to have it back with this charming Caribbean-inflected version of the Balanchine classic.

For the upcoming holiday season New York City Ballet and Marquee TV will once again bring viewers around the world NYCB's acclaimed production of the beloved masterpiece George Balanchine's The Nutcracker in a special streaming event that will be available from November 26, 2021 through January 2, 2022 on Marquee TV.

American Ballet Theatre William J. Gillespie School at Segerstrom Center for the Arts offers an unmatched program for students ages 3 – 18 and has become one of the most respected ballet schools on the West Coast.

During the interim, after our long COVID restrictions in Los Angeles began to lessen, The Music Center, and with the generosity of Glorya Kaufman and her continual support for Dance, created a fabulous summer program for Los Angeles, entitled 'Dance After Dusk' in the outdoor area in between the three theatres, the Ahmanson, the Mark Taper Forum and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The tentative plans are to open up the theatres for live performances in the near future. 'The Jerry Moss Plaza' was created to present outstanding dance performances this summer, in a beautiful setting, culture, abounding all around, and the intense longing to see live and electrifying performances of hope, beauty and talented visionaries. There is a beautiful stage erected in the middle of the Plaza facing west, so as the sun was setting behind the stage, the performance began. No disappointments whatsoever with this third and final offering with Alonzo King's LINES Ballet Company. Indeed, the talent, the expertise and the intent of this stellar dance company is incomparable! The technique of every member of the company, with every movement they make, will fill you with awe. Stunning flexibility, extension, ballon, reach, strength, endurance, passion and fluidity is masterfully executed.

The Juilliard School today announced that its 116th commencement ceremony will be held in person on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 11am, outdoors on the Lincoln Center campus for a limited audience. The ceremony will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
