SHOWTIME presents podcast host and comedian Brendan Schaub in his first television comedy special,BRENDAN SCHAUB YOU'D BE SURPRISED, premiering Friday, May 17 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME. A modern-day renaissance man, the former college football player, retired mixed martial arts fighter and current talk-show host takes center stage on premium television for the first time in a stand-up comedy special as he shares his tale and completes a life-long dream. BRENDAN SCHAUB YOU'D BE SURPRISED was filmed at Spreckels Theatre in San Diego on January 19. 

The Cherrytree Music Company, Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment announce that 17-time GRAMMY Award winning musician Sting will headline a Las Vegas residency, 'My Songs,' set to open at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Friday, May 22, 2020.

Hailed as a dream team of performers, longtime musical collaborators and friends, violinist Joshua Bell, cellist Steven Isserlis and pianist Jeremy Denk, will unite this spring 2019 for their first-ever trio tour stoping at The Soraya on May 8. The three artists will perform hallmarks of the trio repertoire in acclaimed venues across the East and West coasts. Though Bell, Isserlis and Denk have previously released the landmark 2016 recording For the Love of Brahms together on Sony Classical, these performances mark the first occasions in which they will tour live as an ensemble. The Brahms album has been praised as Absolutely essential listening for the classical fan well-crafted, flawless killer stuff.

BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) is pleased to celebrate an evening of exceptional songwriting at its 67th Annual BMI Pop Awards.  In an event 22 years in the making,Sting, already a BMI Icon, will be honored for his enduring hit single “Every Breath You Take,” which has become the Most Performed Song in BMI's catalog of over 14 million musical works.  The award ceremony will also celebrate multi-platinum GRAMMY Award-winning band Imagine Dragons with the BMI President's Award, and Martin Bandier, legendary music publishing executive, will be named a BMI Icon, the first time a music publisher has been given this honor. The private event will be hosted by BMI President and CEO Mike O'Neill and Vice President Worldwide Creative Barbara Cane and will take place on Tuesday, May 14th at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. 

Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul have announced the release of their eagerly awaited new album. SUMMER OF SORCERY, the legendary rock 'n' rollers first album of new material, arrives May 3 via Wicked Cool/UMe. SUMMER OF SORCERY is available for pre-order now. The album will be released on CD, digitally and on vinyl as double LP on 180-gram black vinyl. In conjunction with the new album, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will bring his band to the State Theatre on Friday, July 26th.

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia presents the singular stylings of Anoushka Shankar on April 27, 2019, at 8pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. Divine sitar player, acclaimed composer, and one of contemporary India's cultural gems, the award- winning artist will perform songs from her brand-new compilation album Reflections - which draws on classical ragas as well as contemporary cross-cultural pieces that showcase the versatility of the sitar across musical genres. Shankar will be joined on stage by exceptionally gifted instrumentalists Ojas Adhiya (tabla), Pirashanna Thevarajah (mridangam), Ravichandra Kulur (flute), Danny Keane (cello and piano), and Kenji Ota (tanpura).

On Saturday, May 18th at 8PM at CMT Auditorium in New York City, the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony led by Maestro David Bernard, will perform the New York Premiere of an animated interpretation of Mussorgsky's 'Pictures at an Exhibition' set to live music.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) andCBC took over Budweiser Gardens this evening for Canada's biggest awards night in music. The awards, hosted by Sarah McLachlan, were broadcast live on CBC, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, the free CBC Gem streaming service, and globally at cbcmusic.ca/junos. The highly anticipated event opened with London's own Loud Luxury who took the stage with an electrifying performance alongside the Western University Marching Band for their London homecoming.

Producers Suzanne Gilad & Larry Rogowsky announced today that the hit musical comedy THE OTHER JOSH COHEN will end its extended Off-Broadway run at the Westside Theatre on April 7, 2019. A National Tour will launch in 2020, cities and dates will be announced at a later date.

R&B/soul singer-songwriter Allen Stone has released a new single and accompanying lyric video today for his song 'Naturally' via ATO Records. Written with the impending birth of his first child in mind and galvanized by his overwhelming love for his new wife, Stone explains, 'The inspiration behind releasing this song comes from having my first child. In this journey that is about to commence we are choosing not to find out the sex of the child until the day of. Whichever bits this kiddo comes out with, we want he or she to arrive into a world where women are celebrated. Judged not by their physical attributes but rather the fiber of their traits. I hope the world of the future nourishes and cherishes all women.”

Pittsburgh CLO will launch its second New Musicals Weekend, a project of the Next Generation Campaign's New Small Musicals Initiative. New Musicals Weekend, the mini version of the SPARK festival, takes the core goals of SPARK and puts them into action over just a few days. Similar to SPARK, New Musicals Weekend aims to develop new musicals for the CLO Cabaret by supporting writing teams with financial and creative resources and by building relationships with local and national artists.
