Franz Welser-Möst and The Cleveland Orchestra have announced their schedule for the ensemble's 2020-21 season at Severance Hall. 

The 2020-2021 Peace Broadway Season at the Peace Center lineup boasts 10 titles, including the 2019 Tony Award winners for Best Musical (Hadestown) and Best Revival of a Musical (Oklahoma!), and three highly anticipated engagements returning by popular demand (Wicked, Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen).

Sufjan Stevens and Asthmatic Kitty Records cofounder, longtime collaborator and Stevens' stepfather Lowell Brams release their collaborative album Aporia—originally slated for this Friday, March 27—today. The Old Globe has announced the 2020 Classical Directing Fellowships, a program of the Karen and Stuart Tanz Fellowships at The Old Globe, led by the Globe's Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, a leading Shakespearean scholar, author, and director.

Whitney Rowland's new play, Wayfinding, is a “magical realism melancholic comedy” that uses the concept of “time bending” to shape the characters' journeys to unexpected destinations. Jane (Sarah Wallis) is an emotionally-numbed new widow. Harrison (Ben Thorpe) is Les's (Charlie T. Thomas) inattentive, self-sabotaging fiancé. In seeking escape, these two strangers collide – both literally and figuratively – tangling their lifelines and setting them on a journey involving an intercontinental plane crash, a magical forest, and a choice that leads them both to an unexpected destination. Wayfinding runs through March 29, 2020 at Synchronicity Theatre.

Alternative quintet The Unlikely Candidates hit song 'Novocaine' makes its way to Top 5 on the Alternative Radio Charts. Watch the music video for the track, which is currently #4 on the Alternative Radio Chart and climbing. 'Novocaine' skyrocketed in popularity since the music video was released Spring 2019. The video has over 14 million views to date and the song has over 32 million streams worldwide. On top of 'Novocaine's radio success, the track was one Vevo's 'Most Watched Alternative Video List', featured in the season 4 trailer of HULU's popular TV show Veronica Mars, andon Now That's What I Call Music.

Theatre fans need not travel all the way to New York City to get a taste of Broadway. Though the Big Apple boasts perhaps the freshest productions and greatest talents in the world, many of the most successful shows on Broadway will eventually hit the road- bringing and equally magical (though sometimes slightly updated) version of their production to cities across the country.

A fresh cast has been announced for ATC's 11-week UK-wide tour of Maya Arad Yasur's audacious play Amsterdam. It will be the first tour under Artistic Director Matthew Xia, recently named in The Stage's Top 100 Most influential People in Theatre.

San Francisco Opera General Director Matthew Shilvock today announced the Company's 98th season, which opens on September 11, 2020 with an Opening Night Celebration featuring soprano Albina Shagimuratova and tenor Pene Pati in concert with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra conducted by Music Director Designate Eun Sun Kim. Opening Night festivities include San Francisco Opera Guild's Opera Ball, BRAVO! CLUB's annual Opening Night Gala and two new events: the Opera Supper in the Veterans Building's elegant Green Room and, for the entire audience, a celebratory, post-concert toast to the season.
