Washington, DC (August 3, 2015) - Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) is excited to present the return of the 18th season of Summer Restaurant Week - the week-long celebration of the DC region's top restaurants featuring specially priced menus from some of the most acclaimed dining destinations. From Monday, August 17 - Sunday, August 23, 250 restaurants will offer three-course prix fixe dinner ($35) and/or three-course prix fixe lunch ($22) menus. Perfect for spending time with family and friends to end the summer in style, Summer Restaurant Week offers exciting dining destinations - classic restaurants, your favorite go-to spots, and must-try newcomers - for everyone to enjoy at an affordable price.

Duke's Chowder House is proud to be among the first restaurants in Seattle to be recognized with a 100 percent volume compliance rating for its seafood sustainability efforts by Smart Catch, a new sustainable seafood program that was created with chefs for chefs to help increase sustainable seafood consumption and support environmentally sustainable fishing practices. The program aims to address the main barriers to getting sustainable seafood to a diner's platefrom reliable sources to chef training and consumer awareness. The criteria are based, in part, from two already recognized standards - Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch program and the NOAA Fisheries' Federal Fish Stock Sustainability Index. Restaurants that reach 100 percent volume compliance receive special notice on their member seal according to Smart Catch criteria.

Tomorrow, Atlanta-based actors and writers Jeremiah Parker Hobbs and Jessica DeMaria will debut their new breath-taking, folk-rock musical THE LAST TIME WE WERE HERE at The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF). Earlier this year, the pair debuted a semi-staged reading of the show at Atlanta's Actor's Express. Check out a video of the song 'My Amazing Grace.'

Virginia's Signature Theatre opens its doors for its annual Open House on Sunday, August 2, for an all-day extravaganza full of live performances and arts events across five different stages. Producers Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, and Jam Theatricals just announced that Tony nominee JESSICA HECHT (A View From the Bridge, “Breaking Bad,” The Last Night of Ballyhoo) and ADAM KANTOR (The Last Five Years, Next to Normal, Rent) will join the cast of Fiddler on the Roof. Hecht will play the role of Golde and Kantor will play the role of Motel. Further casting will be announced soon.
