CAT Theatre has announced the 51st season for Richmond's professional theatre with a community heart. For the 2014-2015 season, CAT has selected the following plays:

Lisa Rubin, Artistic and Executive Director, and Paul Flicker, Artistic Producer, today announced the Segal Centre for Performing Arts' 2014-2015 Theatre Season, an ambitious seven-play offering brimming with incredible talent that will dazzle with new takes on beloved stories and premiere musicals.

According to the Daily Mail, Benedict Cumberbatch as solidified his place as Hamlet in the West End. The Shakespearean drama will run at the Barbican Theatre, beginning in August 2015 and will be produced by Sonia Friedman and directed by Lyndsey Turner.

Artistic Director Blake Robison announced the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 2014-15 season today. The Playhouse's 55th season - which is Robison's third as artistic director - boasts a homegrown world premiere, two Tony Award-winning plays, recent New York hits and musical tributes to Johnny Cash and Tri-State native Rosemary Clooney.

Both timely and timeless, Daniel Soar's SPIES LIKE US, The Secret History of Communication and Surveillance examines the past, present and future of surveillance. It will include an up-to-date account of everything the Snowden leaks have exposed about state and corporate surveillance and crucially will also put these recent revelations in the context of espionage's long and murky history. Canongate plans to publish in Spring 2015, with rights pre-empted in Spain (Random House) and in Australia and New Zealand (Text Publishing). Francis Bickmore, Publishing Director at Canongate, has acquired A Slight Trick of the Mind, a novel by Mitch Cullin about the final years of Sherlock Holmes. Canongate bought UK and Commonwealth rights (ex. Canada) from Jessica Craig at United Agents on behalf of Peter Steinberg. Canongate will publish in May 2014.
