Lyric Opera of Chicago announced casting for the remaining principal roles in its new production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel. Matthew Hydzik will portray Enoch Snow alongside Tony Award winner Jarrod Emick as Jigger Craigin, two-time Tony Award nominee Charlotte d'Amboise as Mrs. Mullin, and two-time Tony Award nominee Tony Roberts as the Starkeeper. Carousel will run April 10 to May 3 at the Civic Opera House (opening night April 11).

Houston, January 29, 2015-Houston Grand Opera's (HGO) 2015-16 season showcases the vibrant and diverse artistic mix that marks HGO as a leading 21st-century American opera company: Wagner's Siegfried, the third installment of La Fura dels Baus's imaginative Ring cycle featuring a new generation of Wagnerians; the world premiere of Carlisle Floyd's Prince of Players; Dvo?ak's fairy tale rarity Rusalka; a holiday revival of family favorite The Little Prince from the award-winning composer Rachel Portman and librettist Nicholas Wright; a new production of The Marriage of Figaro and a new-to-Houston Eugene Onegin; a beloved core production, Tosca; and the Houston debut of Broadway sensation Rob Ashford's take on the classic musical Carousel. The new production of Mary Chase's Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy HARVEY directed by Lindsay Posner and starring James Dreyfus as Elwood P. Dowd and Maureen Lipman as Veta Louise Simmons, will play a limited season at London's Theatre Royal Haymarket from Tuesday 17 March until Saturday 2 May, with a Gala Night on Monday 23 March. The production will first open at Birmingham Repertory Theatre on 6 February, running until 21 February, with a national press night on Tuesday 17 February. After Birmingham, the production will play in Malvern from 24 to 28 February and Richmond from 3 to 7 March.
