In Rintels' compelling one man play, the larger than life Darrow with his legendary wit relives some of his pivotal experiences, including the infamous Scopes 'Monkey' and 'Thrill Killers' trials which established his reputation as a courtroom giant and civil rights hero. Kevin Spacey's performance was widely praised as a tour de force, and this production is back having only run for just over two weeks in 2014.

Two River Theater Company Ends Limited Engagement of ALL TOO HUMAN..., 4/11
by BWW News Desk - Apr 11, 2010

Clarence Darrow, America's most famous trial lawyer, defended the rights of sinners. The fact that he was no saint himself, just adds to his renown. In All Too Human: An Evening with Clarence Darrow, Henry Miller-a trial lawyer himself-explores (among others) 'The Scopes Monkey Trial' , where Darrow defended a teacher's right to teach the theory of evolution in a school in Tennessee; as well as the controversial trial of 'Leopold and Loeb'. Miller's one-act show gives us a fresh insight into why this giant of jurisprudence inspired generations, and left such an indelible mark on the nation. The production will end its run at Two River Theater Company on April 11th.
