Thank heaven! A Gigi like you've never seen! Starring Vanessa Hudgens as Gigi, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's celebrated musical will play a pre-Broadway engagement at the Kennedy Center in an all-new production directed by Eric Schaeffer (Million Dollar Quartet, the eight-time Tony-nominated Kennedy Center revival of Follies) with an entirely re-envisioned book by acclaimed British playwright and Emmy-nominated screenwriter Heidi Thomas ("Cranford," "Upstairs Downstairs," "Call the Midwife"). This highly anticipated, limited premiere engagement also features two-time Tony Award nominee Howard McGillin (The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Anything Goes, The Phantom of the Opera) as Honore Lachaille, Corey Cott (Newsies) as Gaston Lachaille, and Steffanie Leigh (Mary Poppins) as Liane d'Exelmans.
Set in turn-of-the-century Paris, Gigi is a romantic musical comedy about a young woman coming of age in the magical world of La Belle Époque where fashion, glamour, and passion prevail. When she finds true love with a wealthy young playboy, both must overcome their destinies to create a future together.
With a Tony Award–winning score, Gigi features such Broadway standards as "Thank Heaven for Little Girls," "I Remember It Well," and "The Night They Invented Champagne." First a novella by Colette, Gigi evolved from a play starring an unknown Audrey Hepburn, to the nine-time Academy Award–winning Best Picture starring Leslie Caron, and then a Tony Award–winning Broadway musical.

Broadway In Chicago and Producers Dori Berinstein and Bill Damaschke announced the individual tickets for GOTTA DANCE, the new Broadway-bound musical about professional basketball's first ever aged 60-and-older dance team, go on-sale to the public on Sunday, September 13. The play is a comitragic carnival that centers around the godfather of the avant-garde theater, Antonin Artaud. It is a merciless parody of the sensibilities of Artaud's manifesto 'Theatre of Cruelty' and a sympathetic, semi-obsessive portrait of its greatest proponent and his somewhat dual nature. It is a faithful biopic written into a biting satire, yet is at its heart an homage to the messiness of creativity. 'Artaud Artaud' will have its world premiere September 1-15 presented by Theater for the New City's 2015 Dream Up Festival.
