LCT3 presents the world premiere of an LCT3 commission, WHEN I COME TO DIE, a new play by Nathan Louis Jackson, directed by Thomas Kail.
WHEN I COME TO DIE tells the story of Damon Robinson, a death-row inmate played by Chris Chalk (Fences), who struggles to find faith and hope and understand why his life has been spared after he survives a lethal injection.
This new play re-unites author Nathan Louis Jackson and director Thomas Kail, who brought Broke-ology to LCT in Fall 2009. Nathan Louis Jackson is a two-time Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting Award winner. His television writing credits include "Shameless", "Southland" and "Lights Out". Thomas Kail received a Tony nomination for directing In The Heights and most recently, directed the current Broadway production of Lombardi, a new play by Eric Simonson.
LCT3 is Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and building new audiences.
Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in the World Premiere- Philharmonic Commission of Marc Neikrug's Canta-Concerto, featuring mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke; Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 2, with Emanuel Ax as soloist; and Brahms's Tragic Overture. The performances take place Thursday, October 1, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 3, at 8:00 p.m. Alan Gilbert and the Philharmonic will also perform Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 2, with Emanuel Ax as soloist, on a program that includes Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, on September 30, 2015, at 7:30 p.m., as well as at Long Island University's Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville, New York, on October 2, 2015, at 8:00 p.m.

Sticky Traps focuses on a small town not far from Kansas City, where a mother protects her gay son's honor when his funeral is protested by a local church. Her actions have unintended consequences that will test her whole family - and the power of their love -- in the face of hate. Hawaii-born Elle McLemore burst onto the theatre scene in 2011 when she was cast as the evil Eva in the Pre-Broadway National Tour of BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL. Like most of that cast, McLemore went on to make her Broadway debut when the tour made its way to New York the following year. Since then the 23-year-old has been a regular on the final season of ARMY WIVES and one of the stars of Off-Broadway's cult favorite HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL, as 'Cheerleader Heather,' Heather McNamara.

On January 16th 2015 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the unparalleled precision of the Mariinsky Ballet's corps in "Swan Lake" was rightfully rewarded with the evening's most thunderous applause. Every tilt of the head, every flick of the wrist, every pose, every hop in arabesque was performed in unison and with perfect musicality. The bevy of Russian ballerinas as Swans put the New York City Ballet's often ragged corps to shame, although the American Ballet Theatre's corps is a close second to that of the St. Petersburg troupe.
