York Theater Company Announces Blind Lemon Blues Opening 9/8 & Yank! In 2010

The YORK THEATRE COMPANY (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) is proud to announce two upcoming mainstage productions. Blind Lemon Blues-based upon more than 60 Blind Lemon Jefferson songs - will return to the York Mainstage in Fall 2009. Performances begin September 8th. Spring 2010 will see the Off-Broadway premiere of the new musical Yank!. Performances begin in February 2010.

The Tony Award-winning Vineyard Theatre (AVENUE Q and [title of show]) will open its 2009-10 season with the Off-Broadway premiere of A BOY AND HIS SOUL -- a new play written and performed by Colman Domingo (PASSING STRANGE, Logo Network's 'The Big Gay Sketch Show') set to begin previews September 9, prior to officially opening on September 24 at the Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) in Manhattan.

Cast and staff have been announced for the upcoming York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) production of Blind Lemon Blues, featuring more than 60 Blind Lemon Jefferson songs. Performances will begin September 8th. All performances will be at the company's home at The Theatre at Saint Peter's (54th Street just east of Lexington Avenue).
