As we all adjust to the new, strange reality, online entertainment and education has become even more vital. There are a wave of new initiatives and offers coming in all the time, but here is a short guide of where to start in your online theatre and entertainment fix.

WP Theater, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty and Managing Director Michael Sag, has announced that the world premiere of playwright and performer Donnetta Lavinia Grays' Where We Stand, co-presented by WP Theater and Baltimore Center Stage, will star Grays [Men on Boats, In The Next Room (or The Vibrator Play)], who will alternate select performances with David Ryan Smith (One Man, Two Guvnors; Passing Strange) beginning February 15. Directed by Tamilla Woodard (Hadestown Broadway associate director), previews begin Off-Broadway on Friday, January 31 at WP Theater with an opening night of February 11, 2020. The limited engagement at WP Theater will run through March 1, 2020 before playing Baltimore Center Stage April 2-26.

Tony-nominated composer Paul Gordon is one of those rare musical theater creators who, like Lin-Manuel Miranda, can write the whole show a?" book, music and lyrics. Gordon's latest work is the musical a?oePride and Prejudicea?? soon to start its world premiere run at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. He has formed a close relationship with the company over the years, including hit productions of his shows a?oeJane Eyre,a?? a?oeEmma,a?? a?oeBeing Earnest,a?? and a?oeDaddy Long Legs.a?? Interestingly, Gordon initially found success as a composer of pop music writing for, and collaborating with, numerous recording artists, including Bette Midler, Quincy Jones, Alanis Morissette, Smokey Robinson and Dionne Warwick. An abiding love for musical theater led to a fortuitous meeting with esteemed director John Caird that opened up a whole new career for Gordon. BroadwayWorld caught up with him while he was still in the thick of the rehearsal process for his new show, which can be a very stressful time. In conversation, Gordon appeared surprisingly calm as he chatted about the development of a?oePride and Prejudicea?? and his plans to build new audiences for musical theater.

San Francisco's 42nd Street Moon presents the highly-anticipated Bay Area regional premiere of 2012's Tony Award-winning Best Musical ONCE. The Drama League has announced its final Spring 2019 In Conversation Series events: Gary with Taylor Mac on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., and Judith Light on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. to be held at The Drama League Theater Center (32 Avenue of the Americas) in Tribeca.

BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) is pleased to celebrate an evening of exceptional songwriting at its 67th Annual BMI Pop Awards.  In an event 22 years in the making,Sting, already a BMI Icon, will be honored for his enduring hit single “Every Breath You Take,” which has become the Most Performed Song in BMI's catalog of over 14 million musical works.  The award ceremony will also celebrate multi-platinum GRAMMY Award-winning band Imagine Dragons with the BMI President's Award, and Martin Bandier, legendary music publishing executive, will be named a BMI Icon, the first time a music publisher has been given this honor. A co-presentation with Mount Tremper Arts, the final installment of Yamazaki's Darkness Odyssey series, is a non-operatic dance celebrating the bridge between 'this self' and 'the other self.' Bessie Award winning Yamazaki magnifies the ever-changing state and process of 'becoming' while encouraging exchange between performers from different dance practices, and cultural backgrounds.

This week's decluttering is only freeing up a tiny bit of space in my collection, but it represents an enormous place in my heart. The only version of The Wiz I have on CD is the AMAZING/IF YOU DON'T KNOW IT, YOU'RE NOT A REAL BROADWAY FAN original cast album starring Stephanie Mills. I do have the movie soundtrack in my iTunes and the soundtrack of 'The Wiz Live!' is on Apple Music, so let's dive in.

The Donmar Warehouse today announces full casting for Berberian Sound Studio conceived for the stage by Joel Horwood and Tom Scutt. Joining the previously announced Tom Brooke, Enzo Cilenti and Tom Espiner are Eugenia Caruso, Sidney Kean, Lore Lixenberg, Luke Pasqualino, Lara Rossi, Beatrice Scirocchi and Hemi Yeroham.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

The CW will develop a reboot of the USA Network series “The 4400,” Variety reports.
