The film stars Actress Hailey Heisick as Jayne Mansfield. The late actress died at age 34 in June of 1967 leaving behind five children. Actress Mariska Hargitay of Law and Order SVU fame was asleep in the back seat of the vehicle which killed her mother.
The movie focuses on Mansfield's stardom and her rapid decline via alcohol and drugs. Her most notable husband was Mr. Universe Mickey Hargitay who is played by actor Adrian Gorbaliuk.
The film which is based on Frank Ferruccio's best selling book of the same name was published in 2007. The film was filmed in 2013 in New Jersey, New York and Mansfield's home state of Pennsylvania where she is buried.

The Ford's Theatre Society 2014-2015 season continues with the musical Freedom's Song: Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War, directed by Jeff Calhoun, March 13 through May 20, 2015, at the historic Ford's Theatre (511 Tenth Street NW, Washington, D.C.). A new adaptation of the Broadway musical The Civil War, Freedom's Song features the words of Abraham Lincoln and music inspired by the letters of those who lived through the Civil War. The production is part of Ford's 150: Remembering the Lincoln Assassination, a series of events marking the 150 years since Abraham Lincoln's assassination at Ford's Theatre.
TACT/The Actors Company Theatre presents Abundance, the 1990 play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Beth Henley (Crimes of the Heart). An epic tale of friendship set against the backdrop of the sweeping American West, Abundance will be directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, who directed last season's production of William Inge's Natural Affection.
