Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of 'The Country Club,' a wry comedy by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane, on Monday, June 22, at 7 p.m., followed by a post-performance 'Meet the Cast' reception in the courtyard. Lincoln Center Theater has announced the first two productions of its 2015-2016 season: DADA WOOF PAPA HOT, a new play by Peter Parnell, to be directed by Scott Ellis, beginning performances Thursday, October 15 and opening Monday, November 9 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater; and the LCT3 world premiere production of KILL FLOOR, a new play by Abe Koogler, to be directed by Lila Neugebauer, which will begin performances Saturday, October 3, open on Monday, October 19, and run through Sunday, November 15 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Vermont Pride Theater at Chandler announces its 4th annual Summer Pride Festival of LGBT plays in Randolph, Vermont, this weekend, July 18-20 and 25-27. This season it will offer full productions of three exciting scripts, none of which has been presented before in Vermont. These will be directed and performed by an ensemble of Equity and non-Equity theater artists from across the nation, and presented in Randolph's historic Chandler Music Hall, listed on the National Historic Register.

The Daily Mail writes that Tamsin Greig will star in the West End in WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, based on Pedro Almodovar's 1988 film. Bartlett Sher returns in the director's chair for the production -- he helmed the Broadway cast in 2010. 'BREAKDOWN' begins previews at the Playhouse Theatre on December 20, with an opening slated for January 12, 2015.
