Red Bull Theater presents the first-ever Off Broadway revival of Loot by Joe Orton. Red Bull Artistic Director Jesse Berger directs a company that includes Rebecca Brooksher (Fay), Eric Martin Brown (Meadows), Jarlath Conroy (McLeavy), Ryan Garbayo (Dennis), Rocco Sisto (Truscott), and Nick Westrate (Hal). Loot will have scenic design by Narelle Sissons, costume design by Sara Jean Tosetti, lighting design by Scott Zielinski, and sound design by Brad Berridge.
In Translations, a group of students at a hedge school in 1833 Ireland are greeted by two British Army engineers that intend to map their town and change its place names from Gaelic to English. What ensue are the trials and tribulations of people living with a language barrier that quietly outlines a division between two very different cultures. Translations explores deeply rooted political and cultural issues about the imposition of the British on the Irish and what it means to preserve culture.

Following an extensive search process, PICT Theatre's board of directors has appointed Alan Stanford as the company's producing artistic director. Stanford has been serving as the interim producing artistic director since February. Board president Eugene O'Sullivan said, "We were fortunate to find someone of Alan's caliber to lead this organization at a most critical time. The touching story of five adult sisters will play a strictly limited engagement through June 16, with specially priced preview performances slated for tonight, May 22 & 23.
Atlantic recording artist Cody Simpson has revealed details of his anticipated new album. 'SURFERS PARADISE' which follows the Australian-born pop star's 2012 debut, 'PARADISE' arrives everywhere on July 16th. 'Surfers Paradise is basically the most famous area on the Gold Coast of Australia, where I am from,' explains Simpson. 'I think this album really represents that piece of me, my lifestyle, and where I come from. When making my first album 'Paradise' it was sort of a journey to find myself as a young adult & artist. Coeurage Theatre Company (Jeremy Lelliott, Artistic Director), LA's 'Pay What You Want' Company, has announced their production of Translations by Brian Friel, directed by Coeurage Associate Artistic Director Ryan Wagner. There will be one preview performance on Friday, May 24 at 8pm, and opening is set for Saturday, May 25 at 8pm. Translations will play through June 23 only at The Lost Studio on S. La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles.
