Civic Theatre of Allentown's 82nd stage season has been finalized, and we're thrilled to officially announce that the biggest musical of the past 15 years is coming to Civic's stage. It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our friend, colleague, and hero, Rodger McFarlane. A pioneer and legend in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights and HIV/AIDS movements, Rodger took his own life in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico last Friday.

Flicker House Productions is announcing a new production of The Who's Tommy at the Ricardo Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood. The Who's Tommy, which has music and lyrics by Pete Townshend and book by Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff, will be performed for two weeks only, June 18 to 29. The cast will include Susan Egan, Haylie Duff and Nona Hendryx.
The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein, a new musical comedy from the creative team of the 12-time Tony Award winning smash The Producers, will open on Broadway November 8th 2007 at the Hilton Theatre (213 W 42nd St). Previews begin October 11th 2007. The production stars Roger Bart (Dr. Frederick Frankenstein), Megan Mullally (Elizabeth), Sutton Foster (Inga), Shuler Hensley (The Monster), Fred Applegate (Kemp) and Christopher Fitzgerald (Igor).
