Additional Performances Added To FST's OPUS
by Gabrielle Sierra - Jan 16, 2009

Due to popular demand, additional performances have been added to Florida Studio Theatre's production of Opus! The critically-acclaimed production and audience pleaser has lead to Sold-Out houses! Added performances will include Sunday, January 25 at 8:00 PM; Wednesday, January 28 at 8:00 PM and Friday, January 30 at 8:00 PM. 'Opus strikes a chord with every patron; we all have been part of a group, where there is as much dissonance as there is harmony. The truth of the play has led to its success.' stated Artistic Director and Show Director, Richard Hopkins. When their mentally-imbalanced violist disappears, a world-class string quartet takes a chance on a gifted but relatively inexperienced young woman. With only a few days to rehearse a grueling Beethoven masterpiece, the four struggle to prepare their highest-profile performance ever - a televised ceremony at the White House. Their rehearsal room becomes a pressure cooker as passions rise, personalities clash, and the players are forced to confront the fleeting nature of their life's work.
