Broadway shows are made, not born. Though the polished final product of a Broadway show seems to land before our very eyes as if put there by some divine circumstance, the life of the average show before it makes its way to New York is long.

 The Mountain Play Association, the San Francisco Bay Area's most magical outdoor theater experience, will present the timeless classic Disney's Beauty and the Beast directed by Jay Manley for their 104th season. Based on the French fairy tale of the same name by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont, Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST tells the story of a monstrous prince and a young woman who fall in love. Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will take place every Sunday from May 21 to June 18, 2017.

The Cote Saint-Luc Dramatic Society is heading back to the Segal Centre with a production of Fancy Nancy The Musical with book and lyrics by Susan DiLallo and music and lyrics by Danny Abosch. Based on the best-selling children's book of the same name, Fancy Nancy The Musical had an acclaimed Off-Broadway run from 2012-2014, and is currently touring the United States. The Segal Centre will present the widely popular comedy Noises Off by Michael Frayn. The shenanigans unfold both onstage and off in this classic play-within-a-play where lovers scheme, doors slam, clothes spontaneously fly off, and unbelievable hijinks ensue.
