The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) is thrilled to present Batsheva - The Young Ensemble, under the artistic direction of internationally renowned choreographer Ohad Naharin, from July 10-22. 

Mint Theater (Jonathan Bank, Producing Artistic Director) will present a rare revival of Days to Come by Lillian Hellman, 'one of the most important playwrights of the American theater' (New York Times). Performances will begin August 2nd and continue through September 30th at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Opening Night is set for August 26th.

The Flat Rock Playhouse 2018 season continues by bringing audiences another hit musical theater experience, Broadway on the Rock, running July 6th - July 21st on the Flat Rock Playhouse Mainstage. The Specialty Food Association announced today that Greece will be their partner country for this year's Summer Fancy Food Show, the largest marketplace for specialty food in North America, taking place June 30 - July 2 in New York City. Enterprise Greece is organizing the participation of Greece at the Show.

Summer is here and the Flat Rock Playhouse is ready to celebrate by transporting the beach to the mountains with upcoming Music on the Rock Concert, Carolina Shag! Celebrating the musical phenomenon that developed in the early 50's on the Carolina Coasts, Carolina Shag will feature upbeat beach music from artists such as The Embers, The Tams, Chairmen of the Board, The Drifters. Carolina Shag, a genre sometimes known as the "swing of the South", promises all the lighthearted fun of a lively summer night at the beach, perfect for experts and rookies.

Stage and screen star, Patricia Morison died today at the age of 103 at home in Los Angeles of natural causes. A stage icon and legend best known for her starring roles in Cole Porter's Kiss Me Kate and The King & I opposite Yul Brynner, she established an indelible mark in films with a reputation as a the villainous femme fatale with large blue eyes and extremely long, dark hair that made her a favorite of studios and fans alike.

The Flat Rock Playhouse Music on the Rock Concert Series continues with the premier production Bubblegum Pop! On this trip down memory lane, audiences will relive the good old days with classic teeny bopper hits from the late 60's to the 90's. Continuing the momentum created with the current season launch of its Music Knows No Borders series, Executive Director Thor Steingraber unveils the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts' 2018-19 Season, which features four world premieres, two American premieres, several of the world's greatest orchestras, innovative jazz programs, two tributes to Hollywood legends, Broadway classics plus artists from 18 different nations who will appear on stage at The Soraya next season.  New Subscription Series tickets will go on sale May 1, 2018.
