In a fitting conclusion to an historic season, on Sunday, May 12 at 3 PM, the Chamber Music Society of Detroit returns to Orchestra Hall, its home for more than 20 of its 75 years. Four of America's most exciting young string quartets the Attacca, Catalyst, Dover and Harlem Quartets are joined by master pianist Leon Fleisher, who will perform Mozart's K. 414 Piano Concerto plus music of Bach. The program also includes a world premiere by Jessie Montgomery, plus the Mendelssohn Octet performed by members of all four quartets switching off for different movements in a game of musical chairs.

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company returns to The Joyce Theater April 2–14, 2019 with The EVE Project, the Company's season theme celebrating female empowerment and the upcoming 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. The season focuses on both historical and contemporary ideas of the feminine. Commissioned works from five of today's top choreographers will be presented, and the classic repertory features Martha Graham's heroines and anti-heroines—all with an underlying statement about female power.

The Ford Theatres today announced the 2019 season of events at the John Anson Ford Theatres. The 2019 season will open on Saturday, April 27 with The Spring Quartet: Jack DeJohnette, Joe Lovano, Esperanza Spalding and Leo Genovese, who The Arts Desk described as "an expansive, freewheeling rampage, ideas flying out like sparks from a roaring fire," and will conclude on October 19 and 20 with a Dia de los Muertos Concert and Community Celebration. The 2018-2019 Hoff-Barthelson Music School Master Class Series commences this March with world-renowned musicians pianist Jerome Lowenthal, Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 2:00 pm; cellist Natasha Brofsky, Thursday, March 7, 2019, at 7:30 pm; and violinist Daniel Phillips, Saturday, March 23, 2:00 pm. The classes, open to the public to observe free of charge, are held at Hoff-Barthelson Music School, 25 School Lane, Scarsdale. The Orion Ensemble, winner of the prestigious Chamber Music America/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming, continues its 26th season with 'French Musical Treasure,' featuring compositions by three noteworthy women, a Beethoven Piano Quartet and guest violist Stephen Boe. Performances take place March 3 at the Music Institute of Chicago's Nichols Concert Hall in Evanston; March 10 at Chapelstreet Church in Geneva; and March 20 at the PianoForte Studios in downtown Chicago.

They have traced the location of a mysterious doll, which they are much interested in. As the climax builds, a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues as Susan discovers that her blindness just might be the key to her escape, but she and her tormentors must wait until dark to play out this classic thriller's chilling conclusion.

Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS is a 2000 musical based on Paramount Pictures 1954 film of the same name featuring the songs of Irving Berlin. The film itself was a remake of the film Holiday Inn. The new book is by David Ives and Paul Blake and features all of the songs from the 1954 film, along with some trunk songs, all by Irving Berlin and hews remarkably close to the plot line of the film, with a few exceptions. It premiered in St. Louis in 2000 at The Muny, after which it opened in San Francisco in 2004. This new stage musical played a limited engagement of 53 performances on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre in 2008. It received two 2009 Tony nominations and seven Drama Desk Award nominations.

Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival (CCCMF), Cape Cod's premiere presenter of summer chamber music presents the Grammy award-winning dynamic Harlem Quartet in Harlem Returns on Wednesday, August 8, 7:30 pm at First Congregational Church, 650 Main Street, Chatham.

What would you do if you met someone who had never seen a musical before? They have no concept of what goes into it - the dance breaks, the big ensemble numbers, the balance of humor and pathos. The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre's production 'On the Town' would be the perfect production to display what it means to be a musical. Although it teeters on the cliche at times, the production value and the performances make up for the sometimes flawed piece.

L'Ermitage Foundation, will present TRIO MAESTRI consisting of Roberto Cani, Italian Violinist, who serves as the Concertmaster of the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra; Ruslan Biryukov, Russian Cellist, who serves as the Founder of the Glendale Philharmonic Orchestra; and Armen Guzelimian, Armenian Pianist, who is a renowned concert and recording artist. The trio will perform classical favorites from the chamber music repertoire on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel, 11461 Sunset Boulevard, at the intersection of I 405, in Bel Air, CA 90049. Their program will include "Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor, Op. 67" written by Dimitri Shostakovich (1944) and "Piano Trio in F sharp minor" written by Arno Babadjanian (1952).

In the annals of jazz history, few events have been more influential than the Jazz at the Philharmonic concert series, and the album series of the same name. From 1944 to 1957, pioneering impresario, Verve Records founder, Norman Granz organized a series of prestigious all-star concerts that featured a who's-who of the genre's most popular and influential artists. These shows were instrumental in raising jazz's public profile, and were among the first high-profile performances to feature racially mixed bands performing for integrated audiences.

To commemorate Leonard Bernstein's 100th birthday this year, Northrop presents Keigwin + Company Celebrates Bernstein Featuring The University Symphony Orchestra on Sat, Apr 14, at 7:30 pm. KEIGWIN dancers blend Broadway and club styles on stage with a theatrical flair while musicians with the University's Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mark Russell Smith, perform many Bernstein classics.

There's really nothing better than a musical theater-inspired epiphany: On opening night of Belmont University Musical Theatre's altogether invigorating and exhilarating On The Town (which plays Belmont's Troutt Theatre through this Sunday, March 25) I was struck by the similarities - both structurally and musically - to the Gershwin masterpiece An American in Paris.
