The 2010 Pulitzer Prizewinners and Nominated Finalists in all categories will be announced on April 12, 2010 at 3 p.m. Eastern daylight time. Finalists are not announced in advance. The 2010 Prizes are awarded for work published, produced or premiered in 2009.

Headlining the program are Kelli O'Hara and Paulo Szot, the stars of the Tony award-winning Broadway revival South Pacific. Tenor Michael Slattery, The Clurman Singers, and dancers from the New York Theatre Ballet join The New York Pops and Music Director Steven Reineke for this thrilling collection of classic favorites from My Fair Lady, Camelot, Paint Your Wagon, Gigi and Brigadoon. The second week of the New York Philharmonic's The Russian Stravinsky: A Philharmonic Festival conducted by Valery Gergiev, will open with Mr. Gergiev leading the New York Philharmonic in Stravinsky's primitivist cantata Le Roi des étoiles along with two of Stravinsky's neo-classical works: the Violin Concerto, performed by Leonidas Kavakos, and the opera-oratorio Oedipus Rex, narrated by Jeremy Irons, with Anthony Dean Griffey in the title role, along with mezzo-soprano Waltraud Meier (Jocasta), basses Mikhail Petrenko and Ilya Bannik, and tenor Alexander Timchenko in their Philharmonic debuts, and the Mariinsky Theatre Chorus, Andrei Petrenko, Principal Chorus Master, and Natalie Domskaya, Principal Vocal Coach

The New York Philharmonic will present The Russian Stravinsky: A Philharmonic Festival conducted by Valery Gergiev on April 21-May 8, 2010. The three-week festival - one of several initiatives launched during Alan Gilbert's first season as Music Director - will offer an in-depth look at Stravinsky, exploring how his Russian roots informed his works. Led by the Russian-born Mr. Gergiev, the festival will feature eight programs over three weeks, including concerts, lectures, pre-concert talks, radio broadcasts, podcasts and an Archives exhibit.

The New York Times ArtsBeat has reported that THE ORPHANS' HOME CYCLE producers Jeffrey Richards and Daryl Roth are in talks with the Signature Theater Company to transfer ORPHANS to Broadway in April after it ends it's Off Broadway run in March. Richards revealed to the Times that 'other people are looking at it too.'

The Durst Organization and Bank of America have announced the completion of Henry Miller's Theatre on West 43rd Street in Times Square. The 1,055-seat house is located inside the new 55-story Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park and will be New York's first LEED-rated theater. The theater and the Bank of America Tower are an Empire State Development Corporation project and a joint venture of The Durst Organization Inc. and Bank of America, N.A.

The 23rd ANNUAL EASTER BONNET COMPETITION was a great success with $3,402,147 being raised this year by the participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and National Tour companies to benefit Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS. Since it began in 1987, 23 editions of the Annual Easter Bonnet Competition have raised nearly $38 million for BC/EFA.
