PDFUHM's Department of Theatre and Dance presents legendary filmmaker and director Ingmar Bergman's Nora during the centennial year of his birth. Bergman, born July 14, 1918, is globally known for his work in the film industry directing, writing, and producing over sixty films over the course of forty years including The Seventh Seal, Wild Strawberries, and Fanny and Alexander. In addition to his career in film, Bergman also worked in theatre directing 170 plays and writing and adapting plays for the stage like Nora.

What happens when you bring together the music of composer Bela Bartok, noted for developing new sounds for a new century, The Cleveland Orchestra under the direction of Franz Welser-Most, and The Joffrey Ballet, under the creative vision of Ashley Wheater, and the sounds of two well-trained opera singers? The result is a creative, spell-binding visual and musical concert of high audience pleasing quality.

Best-selling author Michael Morpurgo, made a special visit to Ypres yesterday, Monday 22 December, 2014, accompanied by Joey, the life-size puppet horse and central character of the National Theatre's production of War Horse. Adapted for the stage from his novel in 2007, War Horse is now in its sixth year in London, on tour in Holland and will make its Belgian premiere in Antwerp in 2015.

Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 204th season with an all-new production of Oscar Wilde's dramatic masterpiece AN IDEAL HUSBAND.This classic comedy, directed by Malcolm Black, begins previews on January 15th, opens on January 23rd and runs through March 3rd on the WST Mainstage. The Durst Organization and Bank of America have announced the completion of Henry Miller's Theatre on West 43rd Street in Times Square. The 1,055-seat house is located inside the new 55-story Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park and will be New York's first LEED-rated theater. The theater and the Bank of America Tower are an Empire State Development Corporation project and a joint venture of The Durst Organization Inc. and Bank of America, N.A.

'The Bully Pulpit' a new play written and performed by Michael O. Smith begins performances on April 29th. Taking place on Teddy's 60th birthday, surrounded by mementos of his adventures as a rancher, Rough Rider, naturalist and President, Roosevelt re-examines the events of his colorful life from humorous and characteristically blunt perspective.
