Playhouse South, A Community Theater continues its 50th Anniversary season with the teenage comedy, And Never Been Kissed. Performances are April 23-25, and April 30-May 1, 2010 (Fr-Su). Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:00 pm and the Sunday performance is 2:00 pm.
The party starts on January 29 at The Cleveland Play House with Ain't Misbehavin', a Tony Award-winning celebration of the music of Thomas 'Fats' Waller.
RFK: The Journey to Justice is a commission led by the University of Notre Dame's DeBartolo Performing Arts Center and co-commissioned by the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland, Stanford Lively Arts at Stanford University, and the Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond. Seattle Theatre Group (STG) presents Trader Joe's Silent Movie Mondays this June at The Paramount Theatre, Mondays at 7:00 p.m. This all classic silent film series features lovely women of the twenties and is accompanied live by Dennis James on the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ. The first film of this series, Flesh and the Devil will be screened for free, courtesy of Trader Joe's, STG's silent film series sponsor since 2002.
Producer Howard Panter for Ambassador Theatre Group and co-producers Tulchin/Bartner/Jenkins, Bill Kenwright, Northwater Entertainment, Darren Bagert, and Tom Gregory announced the complete cast and design team for the new Broadway production of the greatest musical comedy GUYS AND DOLLS. The first joint Broadway project by two-time Tony Award winning director Des McAnuff and choreographer Sergio Trujillo since their collaboration on the Tony Award winning musical Jersey Boys, GUYS AND DOLLS will begin previews on February 3, 2009 at Broadway's newly refurbished Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). Opening Night is March 1, 2009.
