Currently celebrating its 3rd season, the Guerrilla Shakespeare Project (GSP) presents William Shakespeare's TAMING OF THE SHREW directed by Kim Martin-Cotton (recently seen on Broadway opposite Al Pacino in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE) with previews beginning March 17 prior to an official press opening of March 20 at the Medicine Show Theatre (549 West 52nd Street) in Manhattan.

Shakespeare Festival St. Louis has announced the cast of its May 25-June 19 production, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW. 'Once again the Festival has attracted top-tier talent from across the country, and we are in for a fantastic season,' says Executive Director Rick Dildine. As previously announced Sean Graney will direct the production with a design team that includes Scott C. Baptista Minola refuses to allow his youngest daughter to be courted until her older sister, Kate, is safely wed. The problem being, that Kate is sharp-tongued, ill-tempered and shrewish. Although she has a considerable dowry, no suitors come to call on Kate - until Petruchio arrives on the scene.

The 2011 season will run from July 1 through Aug. 7 in scenic Kingsmen Park. "The Taming of the Shrew" will be performed July 1-3, July 8-10 and July 15-17.
