The Arabian Nights explores the humanity that people across all cultures share, as told through a whimsical, imaginative and compelling story. The Arabian Nights runs January 14-February 20, 2011 in the Fichandler Stage.

Charles Mesure, who played Kyle Patrick Hobbes in the first season of 'V,' will join the show as a series regular for the upcoming Season Two (premiere date is TBD). Hobbes was the mercenary who joined forces with The Fifth Column to battle the V's, only to be seen in the Season Finale secretly meeting with Anna's second in command, Marcus, who asked Hobbes if he would like to switch sides and work for the V's.

The March-April public programming schedule at the Museum of Jewish Heritage-A Living Memorial to the Holocaust will feature controversial films, engaging performances, family-friendly fare, and compelling discussions.

With over 30 shows opening this month on DC area stages, there is a buffet of choices for local theatre goers and visitors to our nation's capital, from a Tom Kitt musical, to a bloody barber pie-filled Sondheim feast, to children's classics adapted for the stage, to American Idol contestants with slicked back hair, to a psycho woman and her schizo sister, to Commedia dell'Arte. There's something for everyone, so come visit the DC area, and have a monumental time in our theatres!

The Fall theatre season in the DC area is in full bloom. As the leaves are turning, there is a colorful group of shows opening this month. There are so many, so where do I begin? Here are shows that I am looking forward to seeing, and remember I am a musical theatre lover who likes to sprinkle in a play or two - here and there - so don't get mad if I don't choose one of the plays you are looking forward to seeing. Opening Night is October 30 with performances running through November 15th.
