Hofesh Shechter's critically acclaimed Political Mother made a stop in Luxembourg last Tuesday and delighted the audience with a fantastic mixture of sound, light and movement. Shechter built on the success of his previous works, Uprising (2006) and In Your Rooms (2007) and provided a unique take into the world of politics and the relation between the people, their leaders and the concepts of political numbness and representation.

The Las Vegas engagement of Waitress will be 'Opening Up' with Jessie Shelton and Matt DeAngelis in the roles of Dawn and Earl when the tour opens in Las Vegas on Tuesday, October 9th at The Smith Center. The Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University (CBA), the first international institute devoted to the creation and academic study of ballet, today announced the 27 artists and scholars who will serve as CBA Fellows in the 2018-19 academic year. This June sees the UK premiere of ANU & CoisCeim Dance Theatre's These Rooms, an intense, immersive blend of theatre, dance and visual art by David Bolger, Owen Boss and Louise Lowe. The work is co-commissioned by 14-18 NOW, the UK's official arts programme for the First World War centenary, LIFT and Shoreditch Town Hall, and tells the story of 15 civilian men who were killed in house-to-house raids by British soldiers on a single Dublin street on 28 April 1916, five days into the Easter Rising. Prior to this, acclaimed theatre-maker Christopher Brett Bailey returns to Shoreditch Town Hall, where he previously performed in Wedding, with a new solo show, Suicide Notes… The Spoken Word of Christopher Brett Bailey; Hackney-based Access All Areas presents MADHOUSE: re:exit, an underground adventure by five learning disabled artists; and the critically acclaimed magician Vincent Gambini performs a work-in-progress of his new piece, The Chore of Enchantment.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts welcomes the Center debut performance of the acclaimed Eb ne Quartet on March 4, 2018 at 2: 00pm. Since coming to international attention after winning first prize at the ARD Music Competition in 2004, the Eb ne Quartet has been thrilling audiences and critics with their superb renditions of classical favorites and arrangements of popular and jazz works. What began as a distraction in university practice rooms has re sulted i n one of today's most praised classical ensembles, renowned for its unique style and fresh approach to the chamber repertoire. Trisha Brown Dance Company (TBDC) performs at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in the Ted Shawn Theatre, August 16-20, representing the work of one of the seminal choreographers of the 20th century. Since Brown's passing this past March, witnessing TBDC in an evening-length program is an increasingly rare experience. Echoing Brown's choreographic innovation, timeless aesthetic, and 1960s postmodern approach to dance making, TBDC will perform a version of Opal Loop (1980) prepared especially for Jacob's Pillow, featuring former dancers of the company and an original cast member. Acknowledging Brown's more recent choreography, TBDC will also perform Groove and Countermove (2000) and L'Amour au théâtre (2009). As the company ventures into a new era, viewing Brown's work in a proscenium venue “feel[s] increasingly essential” (The New Yorker).

New York Theatre Barn will present the 12th Anniversary Reunion Concert of Stephen Dolginoff's hit musical Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story on Monday, August 28, 2017 at The Cell.  Drama Desk nominee Stephen Dolginoff and Doug Kreeger (Les Miserables, Rooms) will reunite as Leopold & Loeb in the musical thriller, having co-starred together in the original 2005 Off-Broadway production and on the cast album. The concert will be a benefit for New York Theatre Barn, the company that helped launch Dolginoff's new musical Monster Makers. New York Theatre Barn's artistic director Joe Barros (Cagney, Gigi) directs, with Zachary Orts at the piano.
