The Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) has announced Willy Russell's (Educating Rita and Shirley Valentine) BLOOD BROTHERS, musical staging by Christine O'Grady, musical direction by Julianne B. Merrill, and directed by Tom Wojtunik. BLOOD BROTHERS will play a limited engagement at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (30-44 Crescent St, Astoria, NY 11102. Entrance on 30th Road.) Performances begin Thursday, May 2 and continue through Saturday, May 18.

Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group announced today that their spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will launch a North American tour beginning this November in Providence, R.I at the Providence Performing Arts Center. With newly reinvented staging and stunning scenic design, this new version of PHANTOM, the most successful musical of all-time, will play more than 20 multi-week engagements through next year, including Cincinnati, OH and Minneapolis, MN. A complete tour schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. First unveiled in March, 2012 in Plymouth, England, this reinvented PHANTOM has been an enormous box-office and critical hit throughout the U.K.

The longest-running show in Broadway history, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Harold Prince and produced by Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Company, Inc., will once again make theater history when it becomes the first Broadway show ever to celebrate its 25th Anniversary on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Producers today announced an online sweepstakes to give PHANTOM 'Phans' the chance to be part of the historic night's invitation-only performance. While many of the evening's details are being kept under wraps, the special night will begin with an early 6:30 PM performance at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street), the musical's home for its entire run.
