Two-time GRAMMY® winners Fleetwood Mac will be honored at the 2018 MusiCares® Person of the Year tribute on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, it was announced today by Neil Portnow, President/CEO of the MusiCares Foundation® and the Recording Academy.

Progressive rock band Mars Hollow has announced that they will be recording a new album after a nearly 5-year hiatus. The announcement was made during a semi-reunion show and subsequent radio interview in June, and came on the heels of a show billed as “John Baker and Steve Mauk Perform the Music of Mars Hollow” in Chicago.

The 2017-2018 touring schedule is set, and some exciting musicals are scheduled to perform in the greater Appleton area in the coming year.

Bucks County Playhouse has announced the world premiere production of a new musical, 'Rock and Roll Man: The Alan Freed Story.' The musical will begin performances on September 12 and run through October 1, with an official opening night on September 16.

Actor Gary Trainor, whose past work includes the West End productions of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, I Can't Sing and The Shawshank Redemption, has been playing the role of alternate Dewey in School of Rock since its London premiere. He's now leading the cast as Dewey.

Epperson's co-written the scripts for One False Move, A Family Thing, The Gift, A Gun, a Car, a Blonde, and Jayne Mansfield's Car. His book The Kind One was nominated in 2009 for both the Edgar Award and the Barry Award for Best First Novel. His second novel, Sailor, was published in 2012. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Stefani, three pampered cats, and a frisky dog. It was an exciting evening at the State Theatre, where a capacity crowd heard Gina Vernaci, architect of the Key Bank Broadway series, announce the 2017-2018 season.

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) and the Santa Rosa Symphony announced the lineup for their 2017-2018Symphony Pops Series collaboration. The new season marks the thirteenth year of the Symphony Pops Series. Led by Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz, the series will be presented in the Ruth Finley Person Theater at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts.  The concert offerings include a tribute to the great Louis Armstrong, A Holly Jolly Pops featuring the Roustabout Theatre, a Symphonic Surfin' Safari with Papa Doo Run Run and a special evening of Love, Lust, and Rock 'n' Roll with special guest vocalist Storm Large.
