Casting has been announced for the Dallas engagement of Disney's THE LION KING. Dallas' most eagerly awaited stage production ever will leap onto the Music Hall at Fair Park stage from Wednesday, October 2 to Sunday, October 20. The press opening night is Friday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. The show's previous two engagement in 2002 and 2007 played sold-out runs at the Music Hall.

From September 19-29, 2013, Houston Ballet presents Ronald Hynd's comic and enchanting The Merry Widow.Adapted from Franz Lehar's beloved operetta, the internationally-admired British choreographer Ronald Hynd adds a new layer of lavish spectacle and choreography to the original story of The Merry Widow to create an irresistibly charming and intoxicating tale of high jinks, finance, romance, and intrigue. The triumphant four-week return grossed over $5.3 million at the box office and entertained more than 73,000 patrons during 32 performances. Disney's THE LION KING makes its South American premiere in São Paulo, Brazil. Presented by T4F (Time For Fun), the production opens tonight, March 26th, 2013 at the Teatro Renault. THE LION KING in São Paulo marks two firsts: the largest stage musical ever presented in Brazil and the first time the show has been performed in Portuguese. With this Brazilian production, THE LION KING will mark its 21st production worldwide, having played on six continents.

The Theatre School at DePaul University will present THE CORAL KING, by James Ambrose Brown and directed by Ann Wakefield, as the closing production of the 2012-2013 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences Series. This production opens Tuesday, April 2, and runs through Saturday, May 25, 2013, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre. Performances are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 AM and Saturdays at 2 PM. Broadway actress Hilary Maiberger, who plays the lead role of Belle in the touring production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, will visit Roy Herburger Elementary School in Elk Grove as part of the school's "Read A Book For Belle" contest, which is tied to their accelerated reading program. Maiberger will be at the school on Friday, March 8, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM to congratulate "Read A Book For Belle" contest winners and read to students in classrooms.
