Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater, has announced the Broadway cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. The new 'Tribe' will debut on Tuesday, March 9, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street, NYC).

Here are shows that I am looking forward to seeing, and remember I am a musical theatre lover who likes to sprinkle in a play or two - here and there - so don't get mad if I don't choose one of the plays you are looking forward to seeing. The American Idols Tour is 'hitting the road' this summer. The top 10 finalists, Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Michael Sarver, and Scott MacIntyre, all are taking the stage on a 50 city tour which began July 5th.
Playwright Beau Willimon explores the dark side of political campaigns in his play Farragut North, currently being produced at the Contemporary American Theater Festival (CATF) at Shepherd University. He uses the Iowa Caucus as the setting to show audiences what really goes on behind the scenes, with the main character, the young Stephen Bellamy, forced to choose between loyalty and success. Though the characters and events in Willimon's play are fictional, they are based in real political figures.
