Way Off-Broadway Dinner Theatre Hosts 'Breakfast with Santa Claus,' 12/19, 12/20 & 12/23

One of the most popular events at The Way off Broadway Dinner Theatre and Children's Theatre is its annual Breakfast with Santa (and Mrs. Claus). Each year, children and their families get to spend a festive morning with Mrs. Claus and the elves waiting for Santa's arrival. This year, the theatre has three scheduled breakfasts: Saturday, December 19th; Sunday, December 20th; and Thursday, December 23rd.

La Jolla Playhouse announced today the addition of the world-premiere musical Bonnie & Clyde, to its 2009-10 season, replacing The Big Time. This production features music by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel), lyrics by Tony Award-winner Don Black (Sunset Boulevard, Song and Dance), book by Ivan Menchell (The Cemetery Club, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), and direction by Jeff Calhoun (Deaf West's Big River and Pippin, Grease!). Bonnie & Clyde will run November 10 - December 20, 2009 in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre.

The 2009 Season marked The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's 15th Anniversary Season. For the year, WOB brought many area premieres to the stage including a regional theatre premiere production of the musical comedy The Wedding Singer and Mel Brooks' The Producers. Capping off the year, WOB has added a New Year's Eve special event to the calendar to celebrate the end of 2009 and arrival of 2010.
