Long before hip-hop and line dancing became popular crazes, Baroque court dances were all the rage, and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) along with members of the acclaimed American Contemporary Ballet brings to life this 18th-century art form at the second of the Orchestra's popular Family Concerts, "Fool for Dance," on April Fool's Day, Sunday, April 1, 2012, 2 pm.

Iconic food writer JONATHAN GOLD and multi-talented chef/restaurateur SUSAN FENIGER join Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) for food-themed music and gastronomy conversation at the concluding two concerts of its innovative "Westside Connections" chamber music series at Santa Monica's Broad Stage, which pairs LACO's virtuosic musicians with celebrated food legends for a tantalizing and amusing exploration of the relationship between music and culinary arts. LACO Concertmaster Margaret Batjer curates the series. Each evening includes an opportunity for audience questions.
