BWW Interviews: Stark Sands, An AMERICAN IDIOT
by Jessica Lewis - Apr 26, 2010

Green Day's American Idiot is undoubtedly one of the season's most ambitious projects. The concept: take one of the most successful rock albums of this generation and turn it into a Broadway musical - without adding a stitch (or nearly) of dialogue. The experiment, so far, has been a success, managing to win over theater minds largely unfamiliar with the rock/grunge genre, as well as music fans who, prior to it's opening, had never stepped foot in a Broadway house.

by Jessica Lewis - Sep 18, 2009

On Wednesday, September 16, the much anticipated AMERICAN IDIOT premiered at Berkeley Rep's Roda Theatre. Not surprisingly, the (literally) off-beat rock opera has gotten theatergoers and music lovers abuzz. by Michael L. Quintos - Sep 10, 2009

REVIEW: When you sit down to watch the year-old national tour of LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL (now playing at the Orange County Performing Arts Center through September 28), you will find a wildly entertaining piece of theater, that not only brings a 'right now' vibe to the Broadway musical, it also provides two-and-a-half solid hours of infectious smiles, crowd-pleasing dance numbers, and a clever, memorable, smart-aleck score. The show is brought to life by an athletically-gifted, aesthetically-pleasing ensemble that's giddy from ear to ear.
