Jerry Robinson, best known as the co-creator of all-time great characters 'Robin' and 'The Joker' for DC Comics' 'Batman' line, will be honored as the sixth honoree in the Wizard World Hall of Legends, an initiative to celebrate the artists, writers and insiders who built the industry and continued the traditions.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and The Muppets Studio announced today that Bobby Moynihan will be a 'very special guest star' at The Muppets Take the Bowl live stage show on September 8, 9 and 10 at the Hollywood Bowl.

The Park Theatre announced today that they have completed an agreement with the Sundance Institute to present their touring compilation of short films that debuted at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. The 'best of' compilation will be presented at the Park Theatre's River Street Theatre on Friday, September 29 at 7 pm and Saturday, September 30 at 2 pm and 7 pm.

The River Street Theatre (RST), a project of The Park Theatre, will collaborate with The MacDowell Colony in recognition of the 2017 MacDowell Medal in the Arts Award honoring David Lynch on Sunday, August 13. 

American Composers Orchestra (ACO) announces its complete 2017-2018 season, Dreamscapes, under the leadership of Artistic Director Derek Bermel, Music Director George Manahan, and President Edward Yim, featuring ten world, U.S., and New York premieres by a diverse set of composers. ACO continues its concerts at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall (December 8, 2017 and April 6, 2018) while expanding its presence in New York to include performances at Jazz at Lincoln Center (November 7, 2017) and as part of the 2018 PROTOTYPE Festival (January 12-14, 2018). The MAMA MIA! production at the Hollywood Bowl marks her Los Angeles debut as a director/choreographer, and I recently was fortunate to speak with her, and stars Corbin Bleu and Lea DeLaria, about their excitement being involved in the musical extravaganza.

The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Most have announced details of the Orchestra's 2017-18 calendar.  The season will be the ensemble's 100th year of concerts and marks the launch of its Second Century.  2017-18 is also the 16th year of the Orchestra's acclaimed partnership with Franz Welser-Most.

The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) announced its 2017/18 season to a packed house in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre earlier this evening. The Orchestra's third annual, free Season Preview Concert once again featured the entire orchestra onstage performing selected excerpts, with emcee Music Director Ward Stare joined for the first time by Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik. The two co-hosted the informal and lively evening from a living room-type setting on stage, and took turns conducting highlights from the upcoming Philharmonics and Pops Series.
