Angelina Fiordellisi, Founding Artistic Director of Cherry Lane Theatre, announces the following productions for the company's 2013-14 season:

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) has announced the appointment of commercial producers Michael Alden, Patrick Blake and Patricia R. Klausner as the new directors of theTRU Producer Development and Mentorship Program (PDMP), beginning September 2013.

Round House Theatre launches its 2013/2014 Bethesda season with the hauntingly humorous tragicomedy The Beauty Queen of Leenane by esteemed playwright Martin McDonagh, which runs August 21 thru September 15. Director Jeremy Skidmore returns to Round House with this Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning black comedy. Opening night is Monday, August 26, 2013.

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter John Mayer made NBC's TODAY a pit stop on his 'Born & Raised' tour, coming to the plaza perform his hits live on this morning, July 5th. Check out his appearance below!

Cornelia Street Cafe presents CCi's Serial Underground featuring The Life I'm Leading: Music of Daniel Felsenfeld including several premieres tonight, June 2nd at 6pm. Guest Artists include flutists Meerenai Shim (California based), Jessica Schmitz and Sarah Carrier, pianists Blair McMillen and Mila Henry, cellist Rose Bellini, soprano Marcy Richardson and violist Stephanie Griffin.

Previews for Carnaval begin tonight, January 31st, 2013. The production runs Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm through March 3rd, 2013, with the official press opening on Friday, February 8th. The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has awarded a grant to the Alliance Theatre to create a three-year Playwright In Residence staff position. Designed to advance the role of playwrights in American theatre, the goals of the residencies include providing playwrights with space, time and resources; and positively influencing the working environment of theatres by embedding playwrights on their staffs.
