HISTORY is remembering the events of September 11, 2001 with a new two-hour documentary: '9/11: Escape From the Towers' premiering Tuesday, September 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HISTORY. '9/11: Escape From the Towers' provides a unique perspective on the tragic events through interwoven stories of survivors from two floors of the World Trade Center, some closest to the impact zone. With never-before-told stories from occupants of the 81st floor in the North Tower and the 77th floor in the South Tower of the World Trade Center, '9/11: Escape From the Towers' provides an unsettling perspective of what it was like to be inside the buildings on that fatal day, as individuals came together as a group to make it to safety. '9/11: Escape From the Towers' is part of HISTORY 100, the network's new original documentary strand comprised of significant stories in American history deserving to be told.

THE SHAPE OF THINGS, Eagle Theatre's latest production, opens Friday, September 15th. This razor-sharp dramedy premiered in London, England at the Almedia Theatre in May 2001. By 2003, it was adapted into featured film, starring Paul Rudd, and directed by author, Neil LaBute. Sixteen years later, the play makes its way back to the stage, and with the help of smart phones, updated wardrobe, pop-culture references, and a modern day soundtrack, it is every bit as relevant today.

Greenhouse Theater Center (GTC) and Artistic Director Jacob Harvey are pleased to announce the formation of the new MC-10 Playwrights Ensemble, a collection of ten of the country's most sought-after established and mid-career Chicago playwrights and theatre-makers. The ensemble will be in residence at the Greenhouse Theater Center and will create new works for its stages. Beginning with the 2018-19 season, the Greenhouse will present one play per season by MC-10 member playwrights, eventually expanding to two MC-10 productions per season.
