A team of experienced pros with extensive Broadway, regional and TV experience, will perform the hilarious, madcap comedy RUMORS, by Neil Simon, at the Saint Michael's Playhouse July 17 to 27. The show will be staged, evenings at 8 p.m. July 17 to 20, and 23-27 and matinees at 2 p.m. July 20 and 27.

As 2012 comes to a close, many Austin theater companies are putting together their 2013-2014 season. Given the incredible talent in this town and the large number of daring, courageous theater groups in the Austin area, here are my picks for 13 plays that I'd love to see produced in the 2013-2014 season.

Acclaimed Hollywood producer and actress Elaine Hendrix is gearing up to take the stage for the University of North Alabama's Summer Theatre 2012 adaptation of the classic 1947 Broadway production "A Streetcar Named Desire."

The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival will announce the program for this year's theme, Tennessee Williams and Music, at its first gala fundraising dinner tonight, June 2, 2012. Guests will be treated to a sneak preview of one of this year's productions, "Autumn Song," an exclusive auction and art exhibition of white-line woodcuts by Bill Evaul, and a special appearance by entertainer Zoe Lewis.
