Orange County, Calif.—March 6, 2015—The world's most brilliant playwright—William Shakespeare—is reimagined in unexpected ways when Pacific Symphony partners with Chapman University to present “Shakespeare Reimagined,” a festival that explores how The Bard's plays have inspired not only other playwrights and directors, but also composers, choreographers and filmmakers. The festival, which runs through April 19, began last month with “The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark” at Chapman University, and continues on March 13 with a semi-staged version of Mendelssohn's “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” performed by The Chapman Orchestra, Women's Choir and Department of Theatre students. The festival culminates April 16-19 with four Pacific Symphony concerts featuring Prokofiev's “Romeo and Juliet.” The ballet is presented with actors and dancers who help reinstate the composer's original happy ending, which was banned by Joseph Stalin. The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, the Kennedy Center's own ballet company, will engage in an artistic partnership with Theatre Ballet Moscow in February 2015 to perform George Balanchine'sMonumentum Pro Gesualdo. The Suzanne Farrell Ballet will also perform Balanchine's Movements for Piano and Orchestra. Theatre Ballet Moscow will complete the program with pieces by George Aleksidze and Paul Mejia. Through this artistic partnership, Theatre Ballet Moscow will have the opportunity to take classes and learn Balanchine's choreography from Ms. Farrell, one of Balanchine's foremost interpreters, and rehearse with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet. Performances will take place tonight and tomorrow, February 26 and 27 at 7:00pm at the Cultural Centre ZIL in Moscow.

Arden Theatre Company announces composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim as the first recipient of the new Master Storyteller Award. The Joyce Theater Foundation presents the long-awaited NYC return of the UK's Royal Ballet – first time in over 11 years – at the David H. The Writers Guild of America, West will honor late screenwriter-director-actor-producer Harold Ramis with its Laurel Award for Screenwriting Achievement at the Writers Guild Awards ceremony on Saturday, February 14. Erica Mann Ramis and family will accept the award on his behalf.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) just announced that Sienna Miller ("American Sniper", After Miss Julie) will join the cast of CABARET starring opposite Alan Cumming beginning February 17, 2015. Miller will take over for current star Emma Stone, whose final performance is February 15, and play "Sally Bowles" for the final six weeks of the limited engagement through March 29, 2015.

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances.
