Set amidst the swinging sixties in New York City, Promises, Promises is a hilarious and heartwarming musical based on the Billy Wilder film "The Apartment." It follows the story of Chuck Baxter, a lowly office worker who climbs the corporate ladder by lending his apartment to his superiors for their extramarital affairs.
Chuck's life takes a chaotic turn when he falls for Fran Kubelik, a new co-worker with a mysterious past. Torn between his affection for Fran and his desire for career advancement, Chuck gets caught in a web of deception and hilarious misunderstandings. Fran suspects Chuck of infidelity, while his boss's philandering ways threaten to expose the whole scheme.
The musical boasts a catchy score by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, featuring iconic songs like "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" and "Promises, Promises." With witty dialogue, slapstick humor, and a touch of romantic yearning, Promises, Promises offers a delightful escape into the fast-paced world of Madison Avenue and the search for love amidst the madcap world of corporate shenanigans.
